Leo Rajnović

pursuing his professional football career in Asia

Leo Rajnović

comes from Croatia. He is a student-athlete receiving his scholarship for his outstanding performance in football. We are proud to partner with Leo in seeing his new life in Asia.

How did you get into Football?

I started playing football when I was 4, in my hometown called Virovitic. I still remember I was the youngest player in my team when I first joined the team.

After a few years I was called up by GNK Dinamo, which is the biggest football club in my country. Today Dinamo is very popular in the football world for training young talents, one of the well-known name is Luka Modrić.

Since then, I known that I am going to be a professional football player.

Why do you come to Asia?

I come to Asia because I want to develop my professional football and education in parallel. I was offered a sports scholarship to study in a University there. It was not an easy decision because travelling from Croatia (Europe) to Asia is a long way and I had to face all the culture shock.

In my memory Asia is a very historical place having many beautiful cities, but I have only watched through them in movies. I still remember how remarkable it was when I experienced everything with my own eyes.

Do you have any challenge to become a professional footballer?

Unlike many Croatian, I have short-sightedness, so I have to wear glasses. However, it's impossible to wear glasses during a football game.

That's why I choose to wear Contact Lens. It brings me much convenience, extraordinary vision and focus during the game.

"I'm glad to have day day Contact and their contact lens supported, so I can have my best vision in my football games"

What will be your plan in Asia?

I am still training hard and looking forward to continue my football career professionally after I graduate. I believe all the fundamentals I learnt in Europe is a valuable asset and I am always eager to bring it up here to the team level.  In longer term, I am planning to have my coaching license and contribute more to the youth football development. In Europe the training is more harsh and professional at younger age, in Asia its kind of a fun ECA program, I would like to make a balance here and bring up professionalism in the kids training program.
